Melvin Wynn Matthews (12/19/1941~10/11/79) was the fourth son born to Amos Sr. and Bertha Matthews.  Melvin Wynn and Billy Glenn were like twins...very close.  He was a Viet Nam Veteran and served there from 1966 to 1968.  He has left us six reminders of how much we love and miss him...his children:  Rodney, Andre(11/12/1964), LiChelle(11/19/1968), Antwone & Darrone (twins 5/10/73) and DiMarco Matthews.

Melvin was a licensed barber/hairstylist and performed in a recording group called "Extra Rich" which was comprised of his brother Cleamon Lee, two cousins Nathaniel & Billy Wayne Jarman, and a friend Phil.  They made several recordings and performed throughout California, Nevada and Japan opening for such stars as Gladys Knight, B. B. King, The Temptations, Bobby "Blue" Bland and others.
